Stand With Us & Vote Reform

On the tragic morning of October 7th, the Kapshiter family was simply driving home from a routine road trip—from Ashkelon to Be’er Sheva—when they were ambushed and murdered by Hamas terrorists. Yania and Dina, along with their children, Aline (8) and Eitan (5), were brutally taken from this world.
As their grieving families sought to lay them to rest together, the ultra-Orthodox-controlled rabbinate delivered another devastating blow: Yania, who was not born to a Jewish mother, could not be buried in the same cemetery as his wife and children. Faced with the impossible choice of separating him from his beloved family in death, his parents made the heartbreaking decision to bury the entire family outside the cemetery fence—in a place regarded with less sanctity and respect.
At a moment when they should have been embraced by the Jewish people, these families instead suffered indignity at the hands of a rigid, outdated system.
This is just one of the many stories shared by ARZA and Vote Reform that fuel my passion for making my voice heard in the World Zionist Congress (WZC) election. We must modernize Israel’s burial and conversion laws to reflect the values of an inclusive and pluralistic Jewish state.
By voting in the WZC election, we can work toward real change:
✅ Respect for All Jews – Ensuring every Jew is treated with dignity in life and in death.
✅ Recognition of Reform Judaism – So that the conversions we perform at Temple Sinai are respected in Israel.
✅ Religious Equality – So that Reform rabbis can officiate weddings with the same recognition as Orthodox rabbis.
✅ Support for Our Reform Leaders – The brave Reform clergy and communities in Israel who provide spiritual strength in the face of chaos.
On my recent trip to Israel, I met Reform leaders who are holding communities together in these difficult times. Their work is essential, and their voices—and ours—must be heard.
Ask Yourself:
1️⃣ Do you want a secure Israel that addresses both internal and external threats?
2️⃣ Do you believe in a democratic and pluralistic Israel?
3️⃣ Do you support religious freedom for all Jews to practice as they choose?
If your answer is yes, then Vote Reform.
This is our moment to shape the future of Israel. Stand with us. Vote for our values. Vote for inclusion. Vote for dignity.
