Together, we can make a difference! Check out how you can get involved at Sinai and beyond to help our community.
Immigrant & Refugee Relief
Our community partner the Afghan American Alliance of Georgia has reached out to us for urgent support. Right now, 40 Afghan families—men, women, and children—have arrived in the U.S. after years of waiting, only to face a devastating crisis. Due to a halt in critical resettlement funds, they are without food, transportation, and basic household items.Temple Sinai is stepping up to help in a couple different ways.
We’ve launched a matching campaign and are accepting monetary donations to our Afghan Refugee Crisis Fund. Thanks to a generous donor and the Temple Sinai Immigrant & Refugee Relief group, we already have $4,000 committed. We need our community to match that amount, doubling our impact to reach $8,000. Every dollar will go directly toward food, transportation, and essential supplies for these families in need.
We are also accepting furniture donations. Contact Diane Heller to coordinate pickup. The deadline is March 25.
